BECAUSE TEACHING BEGINNERS OVER THE INTERNET IS A WASTE OF TIME FOR BOTH OF US, I REFUSE TO GIVE LESSONS REMOTELY TO BEGINNERS. I offer private, one-on-one lessons to teens and adults on MONDAYS and TUESDAYS at my studio in Bonita Springs, FL. Students must be at least 13 years old. I very much believe in emphasizing having fun at every lesson so that students enjoy playing and learning in a very positive environment more than ever. Please note I'm willing to give lessons over the internet BUT ONLY TO THOSE WHO'VE HAD AT LEAST TWO (2) YEARS OF PRIVATE LESSONS. So please look for another teacher if you're only interested in REMOTE learning and are a BEGINNER. Also please note that I no longer am taking young students; that is, students who are 12 years old and younger. PLEASE NOTE: Us professionals are charged when a prospective student submits an inquiry. So it's always greatly appreciated when you are truly interested in our services. Private lessons can't be beat for learning quickly & thoroughly - just read my reviews. Making music is so much fun, very rewarding, and excellent for your brain. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system isn't complicated. It's simply $50 for an hour. All I ask is to receive the teaching fees one month in advance and I'm always flexible to give make-up lessons in case of a student's (or my) illness.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a short meet and greet at my home studio before we begin. That way the new student can get to know me a little and I can get a feel for what their musical goals are.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm always looking to improve my teaching skills by staying on top of the latest programs and workshops offered everywhere. I began private piano lessons as a young child, studied at John Herron Art Institute following high school, picked up a few college credits, and took numerous classes and seminars over the 30 years I taught in Wisconsin.
