Introduction

Hello friend! I would be honored to help with your piano/musical interests. I customize lessons based on each client's specific needs. Currently, my students range in age from 4 years old to 82 years old. Learn how to read music, understand basic theory & choose some of your own music without feeling the frustration that is often associated with music lessons. Weekly 30 or 60 minute lessons (in my home studio or by video chat), 2 recitals each year. Tuition is $60/hour, $30/30 mins. I was formally trained in piano for 10+ years by a teacher from the National Guild of Piano Teachers & I have been playing for 30+ years. I have been playing for choirs, congregations,and leading worship since I was 14 years old. Most recently serving as co-pastor and worship leader at a church in Hanover County, VA. We recently relocated to Bonita Springs, FL. I would love to share my knowledge, experience & enthusiasm about music and help you find your niche. I cannot say enough positive things about Dana Brawley! I was looking for someone to provide vocal coaching in preparation for three original pieces I am getting ready to record. Dana was amazing! She made me feel so at ease, helped me increase my vocal range and breath control within three lessons,l! She also built my confidence with emotional expression of my songs, which I needed. Dana was the perfect fit! I wish I could bring her back to Pennsylvania with me!

Dana really loves kids and it shows! My 13 year daughter looks forward to her weekly lesson. Dana has also proved to be flexible with scheduling and lessons are easy on the pocketbook too. $$

Dana was wonderful to work with. She effectively coached me through a period when I had almost completely lost my voice, and taught me fundamental techniques to strengthen and preserve my voice. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My current tuition rates are as follows: $120/month (4-30 min sessions) $240/month (4-60 min sessions)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After an initial phone conversation, I invite the student (and parents if applicable) to my studio. I get to know the student personally and find out what they enjoy and why they desire to learn piano. If they already know how to play, I invite them to bring a piece of music to share. It is a very casual experience. As you know, the relationship between the teacher and the student is crucially important to the success of the student. I desire for my students to feel they are in a safe environment to learn, create and just be themselves. We proceed based on the student's goals, learning style and at their pace.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was formally trained in piano for 10+ years by a teacher from the National Guild of Piano Teachers & I have been playing for 30+ years. I have been playing for choirs, congregations,and leading worship since I was 14 years old. Most recently serving as Worship and Youth Pastor in a local church. My husband and I now pastor a church in Montpelier. We live in Mechanicsville. I am a member of the National, state and local Music Teacher's Association
