Our family was so thrilled with the time we had with Jovian this past summer! Our three children had never played the piano before and Jovian created such a fun and interesting learning environment for them that they all looked forward to each lesson and enjoyed practicing. Jovian is a real professional, arriving on time, explaining his process thoroughly and kept the children on task while still having fun. We look forward with working with him again next summer.

This is our first experience doing online piano lessons, and Jovian has made the transition seamless and really enjoyable for my daughter. While we look forward to in-person lessons after quarantine ends, Jovian really excels at teaching virtually !! He's very patient, and keeps my energetic 7 year old engaged in her lesson.

My three kids have taken at home lessons with Jovian and they absolutely loved the classes. They always looked forward to piano lessons. Jovian plans each lesson specifically for each child because they all learn in different ways. He always makes the lessons really fun and enjoyable for the kids and thats what makes him great. He is very professional and he is very dedicated. I highly recommend him for all ages!

Jovian is an excellent teacher. My daughter has learned so much from her piano lessons with him both about piano and composers. He is also a very talented piano player himself obviously... and singer! You might be able to get him to sing you a song - you heard it here first. I would definitely recommend Jovian Martinez to anyone looking for a piano teacher!

Jovian is such a great teacher and is so patient with my two daughters. His lessons are fun and easy to follow. My kids even practice at home since homework includes iPad games. He is polite, professional, skilled and even travels to my home.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Students begin with a Trial Lesson where we can meet and experience a complete lesson. It's a great way to test drive a lesson without the concerns of long-term commitment and to ensure a perfect fit between the student and the teacher.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started playing the piano on my own at age seven and started taking formal lessons by the age of ten. I studied under various instructors and was accepted into the piano program at Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Thereafter I worked with many professionals and transitioned to New York for 4 years. I now reside again in Florida and have worked as a performer, composer and producing music for Radio and TV.
