FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge flat fees for my cases depending on the amount of time that I believe the case will take me. Each case is different. Although I am happy to provide initial estimates, the estimate may change based on specific facts of your case, and is not set until a consultation has been completed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process for working with a new client is to first understand what type of assistance you are looking for and then deciding the next step. Many times a quick email, text, or telephone call can help me understand what type of case you have. If it something that I can help you with, I will schedule a more in-depth consultation. In order to schedule this, I will have you complete my intake sheet and prepay the consultation fee. I charge a consultation fee to ensure that you will attend your appointment, but if you retain me for my services, I will refund that fee towards your attorney's fee. I understand that many practitioners offer free consultations, but I do not.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been an immigration attorney for over ten years. Every case is unique. I truly enjoy getting to know my clients as people because immigration can be a very impersonal area of law. A large part of my job is painting a picture for the USCIS or the Immigration Court to explain that my clients are real people in real relationships in order to explain how they are eligible for the benefit they are seeking.
