Introduction

I work with adults and seniors who are interested in learning how to paint with acrylics or oils, and sculpt with polymer clay. I can work with a beginner and bring out your inner artist and learn from there. Creating art helps work the mind and hands together. What I love about art is the endless possibilities and ideas to create. As an artist you learn from each idea something and always grow from there. There are so many wonderful, exciting ideas to try with paint and polymer clay!

Karla is a warm and natural teacher. She helps me to see what I want to draw! Karla helps me to envision next steps and to help me break down the pieces to arrive at the whole. She is very positive and encouraging.

I am in the process of planning a Paint Party for my friends. Karla has been more than helpful in finding the right paints, suggesting various options etc. She is extremely responsive every time I reach out to her and seems very warm and caring! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I talk to them in the beginning to get an idea of what they want to learn. Art is never ending and there are always things to learn and move forward.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from the Art Institute of Ft Lauderdale and taught Honor Students the year after I graduated. I have been working for over 25 years as a Art Director in Boca Raton.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved art and the creative process. I taught myself by painting and drawing and reading many books on how to accomplish a color or idea.
