In the event that sessions exceed 4 hours per week, it is taken into consideration.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I possess 20 years of hands-on teaching experience. My formal classroom experience includes lead teaching at BOCES New York and Page Private School. During my time as a librarian at Page Private School, I had the privilege of teaching students in PK-8th grade. I was a professional assistant for the admissions programs at both PBCC and FAU, and degree auditing was a significant portion of my job. Working in the admissions offices for three years has allowed me to help my current high school client base prepare for college. Improving SAT scores for my students is something that I have been very successful at achieving for over 15 years. I am incredibly successful with clients who have ADD or ADHD; I find students who have these challenges are an absolute joy to teach! I have a degree in Early Childhood Development, an honors Associates, Art History BA, English BA, and another BA in Interdisciplinary Sciences. Degrees only matter if one has the empathy and skills to apply the knowledge supposedly contained therein. I pride myself on my ability to foster positive change(and I am proud of my degrees too! ).
