FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Hourly rate: $68 per hour if editing your work and $95 per hour if writing full grants, discounted by 5% for contracts that extend beyond three days. However, I quote by the job, not by the hour. I am also available to work on a retainer basis as long as this extends to at least 3 months. My successful grant writing spans awards from $10,000 to $3 million.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Talk it over. Send me all the materials you have to date. Then I write a draft and we review it together in google docs if possible. I rewrite, you review and then I turn it into a perfect final product. You should work with me, feeding me information as needed, for this to be a good collaboration and for your grant to have a high chance of success.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a PhD and have worked for many years in program management in Washington DC running federal and foundation-funded programs. I have also run a non-profit organization. This involved working with the funders, writing grants and undertaking all the reporting. I understand what is required when you receive support and how to write a grant or a proposal to match this. I can write all aspects of a grant or a report including M&E and data analysis. I generally do not take on highly technical proposals such as medical equipment etc if I am writing from scratch.
