Introduction

I got started in tuning as a teenager when my family acquired a 19 century antique German upright piano. I pursued a career in music performance and tuned tuned a collection of my own instruments for decades, and joined the PTG in 2014 and started tuning professionally at that time, finding success initially exclusively from personal recommendations. I look forward to working with new people from Thumbtack, and I work on all pianos, from new concert grands to antique uprights in need of restoration. I offer a full range of piano services, tuning, voicing, regulation, and restoration and rebuilding. My clients include private piano owners, concert venues in DC area, theatres, churches, performing arts schools, concert pianists, Grammy Award winners and Metropolitan Opera singers.

A simply excellent piano tuner! Our previous piano tuner was highly rated, but he would often be finished with a tuning (about every five months) in less than half an hour. Because it was Piotr's first his time at our house, he started by performing a basic tuning, then took a lot of measurements of the piano to create a sort of profile in his computer for use in future tuning, then lastly did a fine tuning. He was actually here for more than 90 minutes. I was amazed at how thorough Piotr was! Piotr looked up the serial number of this Baldwin piano and told me it was made in 1958. He also answered some questions of mine and took the time to explain how humidity levels and seasonal changes in a home affect the parts of a piano. What's more, he made some minor adjustment to a pedal at no charge. I was very impressed with Piotr's thoroughness and depth of knowledge and the meticulous care he lavished on our humble little spinet. It has never sounded better, and I and look forward to hiring him on a regular basis!
