We hired Chef Cheryl to cook a three course meal for our bachelorette group of 8 and did a surf and turf theme. I was almost full on the delicious ceviche starter and charcuterie she set up for us as we waited for dinner. Dinner was served family style, leaving plenty for leftovers the next day which I was so excited about. Everything was so gourmet and plated beautifully, that it felt like an incredible value to be able to have seconds and leftovers the next day. The steak with chimchurri sauce and the salmon were divine, but the sides: roasted potatoes, carrots and cabbage are not to be left out, as they complimented the entrees perfectly. She even made us these amazing maple cheesecake bites for dessert and the maple was sourced directly from maple trees at a dear friend of chefs just that very weekend. How special is that?! I would recommend Chef Cheryl to anyone in the dmv area. She was very responsive, helpful and efficient. The addition of Rooted En Flavor to our weekend made everyone feel just a little bit fancier :) 10/10 recommend.

Wonderful experience with Rooted En Flavor. I used Thumbtack for the first time Ever and this caterer was very responsive from the first inquiry. She sounded professional. Her web page was sharp. So I took a chance on a company where I had no referral nor personal experience. I gave her my vision and sent pictures of the venue. My budget was shaky in the beginning but I was able to shore it up. She was willing to work with my change in budget amounts. Phenomenal flavor and she provided an on-site server. She matched my vision EXACTLY. spot on! I highly recommend Rooted En Flavor. My event was a reception for a favorite Penn State MBA Professor/Advisor. Alumni spanning 20 years met in DC for this event.

Cheryl is amazing! I came down with a bad cold over the holidays and couldn’t cook. Cheryl and her team prepared a wonderful thanksgiving dinner for me and my family. I’m not a turkey person but Cheryl’s deep fried turkey is a must try! I would certainly recommend.

Rooted en Flavor did an amazing job for my wife's birthday party. In the days leading up to it, Cheryl was extremely responsive and accommodating as we agreed upon the menu and made a substitution. At the party, Cheryl showed the utmost professionalism and brought out a series of amazing and delicious food items, one after another. The food quality was top-notch, and Cheryl was the perfect server in making my guests feel special. I would definitely use Rooted en Flavor again. Highest recommendation!
