At the start of our session, you made it clear that your upcoming trip was your top priority and asked me to focus on creating outfits specifically for that—which I honored. I also stayed an extra hour reviewing additional items from your wardrobe to help you feel fully prepared. Following our session, I spent over an hour on a phone call with you—time I did not bill for—offering reassurance and presenting all available options. I reminded you multiple times that I was here to support you in whichever way made you feel most comfortable. I said, “Andrea, you let me know what you want. If you want me to come back and finish the wardrobe audit and help you build from what you already have, I’ll do that. If you’d rather go shopping, we can do that too.” You chose to move forward with the shopping session, and I respected that decision. At one point, after much reassurance, I even said that if you weren’t feeling secure, it might be best not to proceed—because I only want to work with clients who feel fully confident in the process. During the session, we also spent time reviewing purchases you’d made during a personal shopping spree. Unfortunately, 99.9% of those items did not serve your style goals—they didn’t fit well, flatter your body, or elevate your image. I shared this feedback with care and honesty, because my job as an image consultant is not only to curate clothing, but to guide and empower clients to invest in intentional, high-impact pieces that elevate their image, rather than simply accumulating more clothing. While assessing your wardrobe, I noted you had a beautiful collection of jackets, but lacked the foundational pieces needed to complete full outfits. There was only one pair of pants that suited your body type, and most of your tops were either too worn or unflattering. That’s why shopping became necessary—to build complete, functional outfits, especially with your travel needs in mind. I stand by the level of care, professionalism, and expertise I brought into our work together. My priority has always been to help clients feel confident, aligned, and elevated in their personal style.
