We loved working with Melissa! She was extremely thorough and always well prepared with samples, had fantastic design ideas (we swore she was reading our mind sometimes) and stayed on top of our builder to make sure our design choices were properly carried out. We easily made our money back by avoiding costly design mistakes as our house was being built, and Melissa was invaluable in helping to guide us through the overwhelming number of choices we needed to make. Melissa worked hard and went above and beyond the original agreement to make sure we were happy with our new home. We would work with her again in a heartbeat.

My husband and I are nearing the completion of a new home from the ground up. I recently hired Melissa to help me with paint selections. I was also in the process of selecting tile for the bathrooms and mudroom when we started working together. Fortunately I got her input before making any final decisions. My initial choices would have been a mistake. With Melissa's help and guidance, I selected tile and paint colors that are current and stylish, all of which will ultimately enhance both the aesthetic and monetary value of my home. My only regret is not hiring Melissa earlier on during the planning stages because I did make some costly mistakes. She is talented and her pricing is very reasonable. As I said to my builder, she was worth every penny. He was thrilled because in assisting me with decisions, she helped move the construction process along. She also spent quite a bit of time with me via email, phone and text for which she does not charge. I give her 5 stars!!

It might sound strange that hiring a design/build co. will save you money. In fact, it will help a home owner from making costly mistakes and also add a great deal to the aesthetic of a home.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It's not as easy as it seems. There's a lot of coordination that needs to be done between all the sub contractors (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) to make sure that the approved design is being executed in a well thought out and efficient manner.
