- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is fair and I always give ranges. Generally, I’ll price what I think I’ve been asked for, another price for a les expensive alternative, then options representing improvements on the project. I try to break things down so they can see where the money is going.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Phone call, sketch, phone call, more focused Sketches and ballpark estimates, retainer, finalized drawings and firm pricing, then some hard work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Four year apprenticeship in a German cabinet shop and three years studying industrial design in the Frankfurt School of Design. And 30 years of building cabinetry, furniture, and period paneled rooms.
