My name is Tia and I am a Cottage Food Operator based out of Stratford, CT. I started making cakes in 2010 for my son's first birthday and really enjoyed it. Each year, I challenged myself to do something better for his birthday and I found myself enjoying decorating cakes more each time. Although self-taught, I discovered a real passion for cake art. With each cake, I want to ensure the details speak for themselves. I love working with my customers to get them a product they love. I strive to provide each customer with a cake that look and taste great. Every cake is made to order and customized to your specific theme. I specialize in custom and luxury cakes made for a specific customer.

Tia places great value and focus on making sure her business ranks the highest in terms of quality, customer service and professionalism. She is a true artist and her design skills get better with each cake she create. They also are the moistest and taste delicious treats. I love to challenge her and she lives up to the challenge each time. She brings visions to life and I feel like she's partner and with you each step of the design process. Planning a wedding can be a huge, professionalism and great quality….Tia, will forever be our cake lady. All of our guests raved about the elegant look but more so the taste. I have used Top Tier by Tia twice and both times she had exceeded my expectations. She such a sweet person that’s first and foremost. When I reached out to her about a cake recently for my birthday I sent a picture of an idea and told her to do as she please. All I told her was the colors I wanted and, some of the features of the picture I liked in order for her to come up with my perfect cake. And BABYYYY I absolutely fell in LOVE she did amazing and I will use her every time. Because not only is her art amazing the cakes taste amazing.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are based on serving size and level of detail. Cakes start at $150 which would be a 6" round to serve 10-12 people. Prices for treats vary depending on the treat and decorations requested.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will ask a new customer a variety of questions to get a sense of what you are looking for, how many people you would like to serve, any inspirational photos you have. We will work together to get the desired look of the cake/treats you love.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-taught but participate in any training that increase my skill level. I try my best to stay abreast of all new cake trends and techniques.
