FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Typically I charge an hourly rate for my design services of $60-$75 per hour depending upon the intensity of the job. Painting and wallpapering labor will always be priced per job and the things that figure into that would be: wall condition, size of rooms, quantity discount, type of paper to be hung. Ect.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once a date has been set that is convenient for the client, I will ask them what it is they are looking for and we go from there. If it a simple painting and or papering price that needed I will do that right on the spot ( unless it's the entire house as paint costs will have to be considered) If it's a remodeling job, the client will be provided with a complete price breakdown and I will coordinate with the different subcontractors.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my bachelors degree in design management from the university of Connecticut. I had worked in retail for a few years before my husband , sister and I decided to venture out on our own and start a painting and wallpapering business with a "feminine touch". 25+ years later and still going strong! Now with the design element and remodeling aspect added we can offer our old and new clients the whole package! Lots and lots of industry reading materials !! New fabric and marble and tile shows.
