About

My focus is on the your experience in your garden. What do you want from your garden? I am a life long gardener and teach/coordinate Master Gardeners. I am also the director of the People’s Harvest garden in Pomfret CT, which is a volunteer garden which donates all produce grown to local kitchens that serve those in need. Whether you need a full garden installed, a garden mentor to give you guidance, or just need maintenance help, I would enjoy discussing your project. I also offer Handyman / Home improvement services. I have maintained rental properties and commercial properties for the past 19 years. I am available for the multitude of functions that come under the heading of handyman. Repairs to sheet-rock, deck repair, painting, cleaning etc etc. I would be happy to evaluate your projects.

John was excellent and a pleasure to work with, he helped me set up the installation of a shoe wall and closet system that I purchased through Home Depot. He also helped me by setting up my tv and wall mount. Will definitely be using him again in the near future.

John has completed multiple projects in our quirky old house over the winter, including carpentry (closets, drywall, new pantry), extensive painting, light electrical work, and other projects both large and small. He can do anything, and does it well. He always goes above and beyond. John is honest and you can trust him with your property and also with your dogs (ours love him). Is there any higher complement? We look forward to John’s continued involvement as we make our new house a home. Don’t hesitate to hire John for any of your handyman needs!

We are so pleased with the work John from Rootstone did for us. It involved mending and painting a small cramped space--and he turned a shabby room into one that's delightful and cheery. I would not hesitate a second to hire John for other home improvement tasks.

John was amazing to deal with. He never came to work without a smile and good conversation :). He was thorough, skilled and went above and beyond to get the project done the way we wanted. Our bathroom looks great!!! He also helped with some other to-dos around the house and was able to fix a squeaky door no one else could. Don’t think twice, hire John.
