Reminder: Always hire an E-1 licensed and insured contractor, (not E-2 or handyman). Also, it is against CT state law for a person to do electrical work for others if he does not have an E-1 license and insurance! If the person isn't licensed, how do you know it's done to code?

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always hire a licensed and insured contractor, this way you know everything is done to code. Also it is against Ct state law for a person to do Electrical work for others if he is not licensed and insured!!!!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Electrical work isn't a hobby!!!! I've seen many people try it on thier own that have never done it before, and it didnt end well!!
