Spiritual Bondings listened to our concepts for our wedding and created something that was unique, personal, and memorable. The creativity enabled us to add family history, personal touches and customs to the ceremony. After our ceremony, guests raved about how eclectic and unforgettable our ceremony was. Spirtual Bondings gave us an unique experience! We had to postpone our wedding in 2020 due to the pandemic and also again in 2021. We finally were married by Susan Craig June 2023! Susan takes the time to find out what your dream wedding is for you and helps you create a once in a lifetime experience. She cares so much about her clients and wants to make everything perfect! She met with us to plan the wedding details and make sure everyone was handled by her personally for the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. You cannot find a great person to plan your wedding with except for her addition of her husband! He is a fabulous graphic designer and helped with our wedding programs. Even when I had the idea to turn them into fans and add bubbles tied to them he did not hesitate to make it happen! It was important too as our wedding day ended up being 96 degrees! I have shared some pictures below so you can see the sunshine we walked through and the attention to detail Susan has as she was reviewing our wedding plans even as of the rehearsal day in the blistering heat. One of my greatest memories is seeing her focus on making our ceremony perfect even with all the challenges we had during the planning years :) If you want a unique special ceremony you will never forget, Spirtual Bondings is where you should be!

Susan was with me every step of the way for our handfasting. She was so helpful in the process of creating and realizing my vision for my big day. She tailor made the ceremony to match my beliefs and wants. I am so grateful for the guidance and support she provided ever step of the process and for the love and attention to detail she put into writing out the ceremony. What a beautiful day. Our officiant had canceled 5 days before our wedding, my husband reached out and knew of Susan and Steven. We met them Monday and gave them a background in our journey and our love story. By Friday we had our vows and a beautifully curated ceremony that was created around our unique interests. I am a spiritual being and my husband is backwoods redneck. She came up with nuptials that were beyond anything we had even imagined. The day was perfect from start to finish and this was all done in 5 days. Imagine what they can do for you. It truly was a day like no other. I would highly suggest you book your wedding with them. As they say, from formal to fantasy and all the fun in between.

So happy to have worked with Sue for our wedding. She took the time to get to know us so that our final ceremony was a perfect fit for us. She made the whole process feel so much less overwhelming without being pushy and helped us with ideas when we got stuck. Our photographers also told us how much they appreciated that she was always smiling. They said that officiants often forget that they'll be in so many of the ceremony photographs.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
ELOPEMENTS COST FOR CEREMONY ONLY: $250 COST FOR REHEARSAL: $75 I offer simple, easy elopement packages that are no longer than 5 to 10 minutes, that I can help you quickly personalize, if you wish. It's not about the length of the ceremony - it's about what's right for each couple. When comparing Officiant prices, please note I do NOT charge for attending the Rehearsal - I consider it part of the job. There is also NO CHARGE if my audio equipment is needed. Again, this is an item that I need to give the best presentation possible - I will NOT charge you for that. Mileage starts @ .50/cents a mile 30 miles from zip code 06373, which is located in Northeastern Connecticut. The end result is a one of a kind ceremony that's yours alone, with a presentation that's polished and professional. In addition, every couple receives a framed picture of their wedding day, with a copy of their vows, ( Excludes Elopements)
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with the bride and groom via Zoom, Facetime, or in person (if mileage allows), and we go over a simple questionnaire that helps me get to know the couple better - we go over all the ceremony details, and then I begin to write the ceremony, working with the bride and groom to make sure all the formalities (or not so formal) are exactly how they want the ceremony to be presented.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years, so you get lots of experience with stressful times - and the happiest of times. Speaking with the public is something you do every day in nursing, and over the years, I've provided many nursing education programs, done lots of writing, and also enjoyed doing community theatre. I even studied Public Speaking in college. My presentation skills are professional and prepared.
