I AM VERY HONEST WITH MY CUSTOMER.. HONESTLY I HAVE ALWAYS WORKED FOR SOMEONE.. I AM A VERY SKILLED CARPENTER AND TRADESMAN ... I HAVE RAN LARGE REMODELING JOBS.. AS A FOREMAN FOR A VERY REPUTABLE DESIGN AND BUILD FIRM IN WESTCHESTER COUNTY... I HAVE VERY LITTLE EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRICING FOR LARGE REMODELING JOBS.. I HAVE DECIDED TO WORK FOR MYSELF AT THE END OF OCTOBER LAST YEAR.... I HAVE PRICED SIDE JOBS FOR MYSELF.. THE CUSTOMERS THAT I HAVE WOULD WITH ALWAYS LOVED WORKING WITH ME... EVERYONE HAS BEEN TELLING ME I NEED TO START MY OWN BUSINESS AND THATS WHAT I AM GOING TO DO.... I HAVE A LOT TO LEARN ABOUT PRICINGS BIGGER JOBS THAN I AM USED TO..... I PROMISE YOU ONE THING.. MY WORK IS TOO NOTCH AND THAT IS PRICELESS TO ME AND MY CUSTOMERS..... I HAVE A GREAT PERSONALITY.. COMMUNICATION WITH CLIENTS IS ALWAYS A VERY GOOD THING TOO... How a business prices their jobs makes the difference between success or failing... Honestly it's a learning curve that remodeling contractors get better with over time .. FROM A CUSTOMERS VIEW TRYING TO GET THE BEST FOR YOUR BUDGET IS UNDERSTANDABLE... I try to walk a fine line to be as accurate as possible .. obviously in remodeling u will need some wiggle room in an estimate or proposal... we know we will run into unforeseen issues . u never know what surprises are hiding until we open up the walls or ceiling during the demolition stage . to get quality work done on a budget is what Customers need...I try to get an understanding of your wants and needs .. once I have an idea of the materials a customer may want I can figure out the cost... OBVIOUSLY knowing what your budget is i can give u options for material or design options .. CUSTOM WORK can be TEDIOUS and some very time consuming .. sometimes an hourly rate is the Best way to price.... $*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$*$******"""" ***"" PSA***""""""""""""" *JUST REMEMBER PRO'S HAVE 15+ YEARS OF ON THE JOB EXPERIENCE SOME PRO'S HAVE CERTIFICATIONS.. SOME HAVE IT IN THEIR DNA . DECADES OF KNOWLEDGE PASSED DOWN THROUGH GENERATIONS OF TRADESMAN ... IF A DOCTOR GETS SOMETHING DONE FASTER THAN EXPECTED DO U PAY THEM LESS🤔.. **SO WHEN A PRO IS 100$ HOUR . BUT IT ONLY TOOK 30MIN ...YOUR PAYING FOR THE YEARS OF EXPERIENCE .. ITS STILL GOING TO BE 100$ NOT 50$.. .. UNLESS THEY DECIDED TO CUT U A BREAK FOR BEING A LOYAL PERSON AND CUSTOMER....
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
from initial phone call I am myself 💯 maybe 99% the 1% is just more professional .😁 i was raised with values so I am real never fake.. straight from the hip.... during our consultation I listen to the details ask questions explain process and offer ideas.. we then feel each other out with chitchat and show personalities.. I give an estimate break down.. If needed I can design a sketch of my plan for better understanding and visual. I communicate as much as needed until we have a mutual trust .. respect for clients and their property 200% .. earn their trust and them mine.. up front, communication is key. professional quality work with personal attention to the clients expectations
