FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically like to begin with a discussion of personal design preferences. This includes having references of designs that you like and don't like so I can get a clear idea of how to cater to your needs and overall aesthetic. This is to make your product as personal as possible with your best interests in mind.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently created the logo for Adventum Studios, an independent journalism startup. I began the project by vectorizing the raster image of the original logo when the client asked for an updated, more modern logo. I worked with their team to create a mock sheet of different design options. This company then required press passes, pintables for merch, and layout and formatting for articles. Through one project, I was able to continue our partnership with all design needs, becoming a "one shop stop".
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
- What are some examples of design that you like? Don't like? Are there any references that inspire you? Are there any references that you want to avoid? - What will you be using this design for? What platforms will you be publishing this on? Will you need multiple variations for different specs? - If needed, where are you planning on printing your content? Does your printing company have specific requirements or templates?
