FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price based on the complexity of the assembly -- usually how long it will take, plus anything additional that's requested beyond the basic assembly. Also, in the rare case where I arrive at the prearranged time and no one is home or reachable by phone, there is a fee of $25 to $50 to cover my time & expenses, at my discretion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I know what needs to be assembled I'll offer a quote on that information. Then we work out a day and time convenient to us both. Once there I sometimes find the assembly is less or more complicated than originally expected. When that's the case I'll lower or raise my quote to better suit the situation. Payment is due upon completion of the assembly to your satisfaction. I accept cash, checks, gold, silver, Venmo and in a pinch, PayPal.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've enjoyed assembling things for as long as I can remember. I've happily gleaned whatever pointers and experience I could get from the number of others I've worked with over the years.
