For 20 years I had a 10 piece big band, Top Brass, for which I did the bookings and wrote the arrangements. We performed for weddings, corporate and private functions as well as in concert. I also led a 10 piece group called The New Millennium Jazz Ensemble which produced a CD in 1996 plus performing in numerous concerts and jazz festivals.
Since 2002, I have been teaching piano, both classical and jazz, as well as theory. I teach in my students’ homes because I believe it is important for them to play on the same instrument whether they are in a lesson or playing on their own. (This also saves parents from having to drive their children to one more event). My students range from age 6 to age 81.
I received my degree from The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston and did post graduate work at The University of Texas, Austin. I truly enjoy teaching, helping my students develop skill and confidence while enjoying making music. I am also available to play both corporate and private functions.
