I found John's school from his ad at a local guitar store. I had started lessons with another instructor earlier in the year and it turned me off! It wasn't fun. I knew there was somebody else out there to fit me. After some research and phone inquiries with different instructors, I decided to try John's school. First lesson in May 2012. I hit it off and new it was the right choice. I'm 48 years old and finally getting the opportunity to learn and play guitar. I don't have time to learn how to read music, theory, etc. I want o play my favorite bands. John started with basics and by the first night, I was playing basic rock chords. John teaches with patience and will go at your speed and abilities, not his. He is passionate about music and his students desire to learn. This school is his full time gig. No other "day job". Now I'm playing full songs, not just the opening riff. He is more than a guitar teacher. He has the qualities of a therapist also! I consider him a friend now. There isn't much to change or improve on with this experience so far. He is very flexible and accessible for information and questions. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing but full of positive energy and our favorite music! You cant lose by at least trying his school for even one month and see how it goes? I made a good choice.

I had a hand injury 30 plus years ago, and gave up on ever playing again. I went back to Atlanta to my old stomping grounds, and found myself in the middle of a jam session with my old band mates, and other friends. The desire to get back on the guitar was overwhelming, and found John. He, and I talked about a few things I felt like I needed to work on with a hand impairment. John has worked with me for a few months. I'm grateful to have found John, he has made it fun to challenge myself, and start to learn playing in a whole new light. If your looking for a place that teaches through hands on experience, and like to challenge yourself ( no matter what level you're at ) then John is your man. Thanks John

I have not taken any lessons from John Taylor, but have watched some of his instruction videos. Just by watching those I have picked up a few tips that has made my playing a little better. I had a few bad habits and Mr. Taylor's tips allowed me to correct them. Just a few little things, but it has made a difference.
