I found Jarrett through Thumbtack, and I am SOOOO thankful for that fateful day that I did. Let me just tell you now, if you're looking for a DJ that'll play to the audience, read the audience, have everyone's feet hurting by the end of the night, and help your event along smoothly, look no further!!
My husband and I just got married at the Sonnenalp in Vail and we were lucky enough to have Jarrett DJ and MC the event for us.
He went above and beyond!!! EVERYONE was raving about him. When searching for a DJ, we knew it would not be an easy task- I am Hispanic and knew there would be Spanish-speaking only guests/ my husband's family is from Colorado and there would be guests that would be English-speaking only/ and, there was a pretty wide spread of ages amongst our guests. Somehow, Jarrett managed to play to EVERYONE. HE IS THATTTT GOOD. ***For as small as our wedding was, there was never a moment that dance floor wasn't packed. *** Not only did he tear it up with the music, he even had a really great light show and fog machine.
Jarrett was easily accessible and available via email, phone calls, and in person. He made sure to walk us through everything and offer song selections for those classic wedding moments (first dance, dance with the parents, bridal party entrance, etc). When discussing reception songs, he incorporated so many song requests and stayed true to our "must haves/must nots." He made sure to walk through the timeline of events for us and was flexible to changes and adjusting as needed the day-of.
**I will say, I don't think you realize just HOW important the DJ is, but even as the bride, having someone like Jarrett is what allowed me to let go, have fun, and actually enjoy the party. I would hire him again and again and again! He is worth every penny.

First and foremost, it is our pleasure to absolutely recommend DJ Jay One!
We had DJ Jay One as our wedding DJ last weekend in Avon, Colorado. We found him through Thumbtack and every step of the process was fantastic. Thumbtack was extremely easy to use and we were in communication with DJ Jay One within a day after filling out our request.
We thoroughly enjoyed having DJ Jay One as our wedding DJ! He was fantastic, and we got complements throughout the night with how great the music was. He was able to seamlessly transition through the music genres we requested and had impeccable ability to read the crowd and dance floor, and make any adjustments accordingly. Throughout the night, there were so many songs that I remember thinking, 'I love this song and it's perfect that he’s playing it!'
DJ Jay One was easy to reach and communicate with by email and phone. He had an info sheet with questions about music genres, specific songs we would like played or not played, and a place to list out specific songs for things like our first dance, parents’ dance, etc. This way a great tool for my husband and I to begin thinking about our wedding music and to prepare us for our meeting with DJ Jay One.
We were able to meet with him in person about three weeks before our wedding. During this meeting, we discussed our music info sheet, the general type of music that we enjoy and wanted to incorporate. After speaking with him, it was immediately apparent to us that DJ Jay One was very experienced with large events and a variety of types of events. He was very flexible with exactly how much control we would have over the music. If we had wanted, we could have given him a playlist of the exact music we wanted to hear. From our discussions, we felt completely comfortable giving him a general sense of the music we like and wanted played (and a couple songs specifically not played) and were confident that he would be able to combine his talent with our requests. And it came out beautiful!
The ability to have complete confidence in your capable DJ cannot be underestimated. They truly are an integral part of having a successful event.
Overall, we would absolutely recommend DJ Jay One!

One of the main goals for our wedding reception was to have an EPCI dance party and boy did DJ Jay One deliver! Our dance floor was packed from start to finish, so much so we extended our dance by an hour because our guests were having so much fun! We were referred to Jarrett by our wedding venue and we are so happy they connected us with him. He was so nice and professional throughout the whole process. He worked with us on the details for the ceremony, cocktail reception and main reception. He did a great job with all the music and even accommodated all of our crazy sing along requests. Thank you Jarret for making our wedding dance a night we will never forget. Months later our guests are still talking about how much fun they had dancing the night away at our wedding!

I met my now husband on Craigslist (roommate situation, not missed connections ;)), so I always put a lot of faith in the internet. I found Jarrett on Thumbtack, and he had glowing reviews. We e-mailed back and forth a few times, and without even talking on the phone to confirm he was a real human, I booked him. He made me feel that good about everything. He was SO organized (like really, really on-the-ball organized! Amazing). We ran through our expectations the week of the wedding, and he nailed it! He got everything right down to the last detail. He was on time, incredibly professional, sound-checked my friend before she sang, and then threw a rager dance party. My wedding coordinator said she’s never seen a bride dance so much at her wedding. I think it’s because Jarrett kept playing banger after banger. Jarrett just seemed like an incredibly genuine and nice human, and he played some awesome music. Can’t beat that combo! I highly recommend Jarrett for your wedding!

Jarrett did a fantastic job with our wedding! We were at a venue with some logistical challenges and we was incredibly flexible and accommodating. It was very clear that he is very much a professional and takes incredible pride in his job. He took the time to understand what we kind of music we wanted and even got specific mixes of songs that we had requested. He also did a great job reading the crowd during the reception and there were way more people dancing than we were expecting! Thanks Jarrett!
