I have always loved sewing and have been drawn to it as a creative outlet and a method to achieve goals. Not to mention,I am good for the budget. My mother taught me at her knee (and from outside, looking in to the basement window to watch her at her sewing machine for hours on end) and she would even let me sit on her lap at the machine if I folded my arms quietly. Through my youth and many projects, I realized the possibilities, enjoyment and usefulness of this skill, so I continued my college education in this area, taking every class I could. I did get my associate's degree in clothing and textiles from BYU-Idaho (back when it was Rick's College). I was not satisfied enough with that, so I went to BYU-Provo and worked hard to get my Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion design -- Emphasis: Costume. Of course, in the meantime, I gained a fantastic husband and six great children. I started my "Studio Julie Snow" right after graduation in 1997 and have been operating ever since. My studio has primarily been focused on custom clothing creations, alterations, home decorating projects, and sewing lessons.

I found Julie on Thumbtack 2 years ago and have been taking private sewing lessons from her ever since. I never sewed in my life (except Barbie clothes by hand when I was little), and she has covered so much with me over the years. We even had a class on fabric! This year, I was able to complete 2 Queen Elsa Frozen dresses for my granddaughters because of her teaching. She is a phenomenal, friendly, and fun teacher. I love to laugh, and we have a great time during class.

I contacted Julie Snow to embroider and appliqué a onesie to be given at a baby shower featuring the beginning of a baby girl's fashionista wardrobe. Not only am I amazed by her talents, I am thrilled she cared so much to work closely with me to create a whimsical and beautiful masterpiece in just a few days! Julie is my new go-to artist , knowing any project will be tackled with enthusiasm and expert advice.
