- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer payment plans and require a retainer when you book. The retainer is non-refundable if you cancel, but it will be applied to the remaining balance. The remaining balance is due at or before the session. I accept cash or card (deposits taken online require card). I also have gift cards for prints available, and gift certificates for session fees which is a great item to add to your registry!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to schedule a free in-person consultation before each Wedding or at the very least, video chat. Let's meet for coffee or ice cream, and together we can build a vision and plan for what suits you and your fiance. I will explain everything and answer all FAQ's. We don't just "shoot and burn". Our packages include more than just digitals. We are providing a service, and in order to do so we need to collaborate together :) -Family and Newborn sessions can be planned via phone call/messaging. We can collaborate clothing, location, and color schemes together. I do require a contract to be signed before each job, and this is when I also collect the retainer of $500- $1,000 for weddings. $50 retainer for all other photo sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are both self taught, but have had a passion for photography for a lifetime. One thing led to the other, and practice makes perfect. Internet tutorials and private groups played a tremendous role in learning from the best of the best world-renown photographers. Amy also has a background in business/accounting/retail.
