FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard pricing system for restoration and repair is labor plus materials. I provide an estimate of the labor and materials needed to complete the project. If the material cost is less and/or the labor is less, then I charge you less.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process for furniture restoration or repair to receive several pictures of the pieces and the area of repair. An estimate is present to the customer based upon the number of hours to complete the restoration or repair and the necessary materials for the project. My typical process for new furniture design and creation is to communicate with the customer on their wants and needs, style, and functionality of the piece. A drawing the piece is presented to the customer, and if the drawing matches expectations, then an estimate of the total project is presented to the customer.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My grandfather and father were woodworkers and built and restored many pieces of furniture for as long as I have been alive. I worked with my grandfather and father growing up while going to college. I have a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I have a passion for creating new and restoring older pieces of furniture.
