Introduction
Please read the following before booking me: Thumbtack (the 3rd-party website you are currently viewing my profile on) charges me when you request me, (whether or not you end up hiring me). Please only reach out to me through this app if you intend on hiring me. If you have questions you need answered before deciding to hire me, please reach out to me directly via text or my own website. Otherwise the charges really add up on my end. ********************************* I hold a Master’s degree and am a professionally-trained piano tuner and technician as well as a piano instructor since 2007. I have many returning clients from throughout the Denver metro area and mountain regions, including professional musicians, composers and music teachers. When I come to tune, I can also perform any repairs your piano may need. Complimentary cleaning underneath the strings on every grand piano tuning or repair. I use the latest digital technology and put my ear, energy and focus into each of my tunings and repairs in order to gain your trust and appreciation and to leave you with a beautifully sounding piano and a piano tuner you can trust to call upon time and again. Tunings start at $200. Pianos that have not been maintained with regular tunings and are drastically out of tune can run an additional $85. Repair work is extra. You should consider this quote an estimated cost; I won't know an accurate cost for *your* piano until I am in front of it. An additional trip charge may apply, depending on your location.

Michelle was incredible at communicating her process, expectations, and go-forward plan. She was swift but incredibly thorough, and the piano (which hadn’t been tuned in a number of years) sounds great! Looking forward to having her back for our next tuning!

Absolutely perfect experience. Michelle was incredibly knowledgeable but also listened to what our goals were without upselling. Her responsiveness was remarkable. She’s also just a great human who would be welcome back in our home any day.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Tunings start at $200 and can run up to an additional $85, depending on how out of tune the piano is and whether or not it has been maintained with regular tunings. An accurate quote can only be given once I am in front of your particular piano. Repair costs are calculated per job and quoted on site. Distant jobs could incur a trip charge.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Bachelors Degree, Purdue University Masters Degree, University of Colorado at Denver

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I’m fond of every piano project I take on. I very much enjoy breathing new life into pianos that have lost their sparkle and giving their owners an instrument capable of making such beautiful music.
