FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We do not accept insurance, but can accept HSA/FSAs, credit card, or cash. We can also provide a super bill for the patient to submit to their insurance to receive out of network reimbursement.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we take a history of our patient, then we perform an exam. The exam consists of watching the patient go through functional movements (walking, squatting, etc) so we can assess how the individual moves. We then test range of motion and muscle strength to determine what tissue is compromised. Then, we decide the best way to treat the individual. Treatment may include manual therapy (soft tissue massage, dry needling, myofascial release, joint manipulation/mobilization), and corrective exercises to promote joint stabilization, improve posture, body mechanics, etc. We include an emailed copy with video description of any exercises we may prescribe in the treatment sessions. Finally, we discuss what the patient may need in terms of PT moving forward. Each session is 60 minutes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received my BS degree in Sports Medicine from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO in 2008. I received my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of St Augustine in San Marcos, CA in 2012, then about one year later received my Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) from University of St. Augustine. In 2017, I became certified to perform level 1 dry needling and in 2019 became certified to perform level 2 dry needling through Kinetacore. I have taken multiple continuing education courses during my career as a PT including kinesiotaping, running gait analysis, myofascial decompression (“cupping”) and several others in order to stay current on new research. I have worked in outpatient orthopedics in private practice as well as occupational medicine for the past 8 years. I have had the pleasure of working with a wide range of age groups, backgrounds, and ailments. During my free time I enjoy running, hiking, and skiing. I have 2 young kids and a wonderful husband that also keep me busy!
