FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I provide written cost estimates and a description of work (drawing) before proceeding with a deposit and construction of cabinetry. Estimates are free of charge.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I can generally provide a rough cost estimate via email, or I'm happy to meet on-site to go over the details. An on-site meeting is generally required to provide you with an official cost estimate, at no charge. If you decide to proceed, I ask for a 60% deposit to begin construction and the remainder at completion. All construction and finishing is completed off-site at my shop with generally between one and three days of installation work on-site, depending on the size of the project. My timeframe on custom cabinetry is generally six weeks from deposit/design approval to completion.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started working in commercial and residential trim carpentry in 2005. I opened my own shop in 2012 and have been working in the business continuously since then.
