I've always, even from childhood, been a tinker-er of things. Electronics, toys, mechanical items all were taken apart to learn how they operated.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Read their reviews. Read their profile for experience & education (formal or informal). Don't simply hire based on lowest price. The old saying is true ... "you get what you pay for". Make sure they are licensed and insured.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Ask yourself, "What's your project priority?" It's easy to have a pro arrive, start working and then you find other projects needing attention. Make your list and agree with the pro what they will work on and in what order. Ask the pro to provide a certificate (digital or hard copy) of their liability insurance.
