FAQs
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How long has it been since your last tune? Depending on how long it has been since you last tuned your piano or how far out of pitch it is determines how much tuning it will need in order to be brought back up to pitch. The more the strings have to move, the more they move after moving, and the sooner the piano starts to slip back out of tune. Regular tuning and a consistant environment is essential to a long-lasting tune. Are there any keys not functioning properly? There is nothing more frustrating than having keys that do not play when you want them to. Most of the time, non-functioning keys are due to humidity changes and a lack of regulating. Who in the house plays the piano? How often the piano is played and how hard it is played, also plays a factor in how well a piano holds its tune. And depending on the age of the player, will tell you how clean and well taken care of the piano is. Also, I just like to know who's piano I'm sticking my head in! I enjoy piano and people just as much.
