Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction
We are a small full service Law Firm in which your case will be handled by the senior attorney from start to finish. Retainer in most family law cases is $5,000 and my hourly is rate $295, but I will occasionally take a flat fee or a reduced retainer in special circumstances. For criminal defense cases the retainer depends on the charges. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the courtroom and I feel that you won't find another law firm with our experience for anywhere near our prices.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My normal retainer of $5,000 and my hourly rate of $295 for family law cases is significantly less than most attorneys with comparable experience.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Typically we meet to discuss your case in some detail and see if we are a good fit. Then we sign a basic fee agreement, pay the retainer and get started. It is not unusual for some clients to hire me a via fax or email without ever coming in to the office for a consultation. This is often the case without of state clients..

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Hire an attorney that you are comfortable with and have confidence in. How close the attorney's office is to your home or the court is not really important. Price shopping is also not the best idea. Most of us with a decent amount of experience will be in the same range of retainer and hourly rates. (although I am more reasonable than most). I would be wary of an attorney with very low rates and retainer. The same is true of very expensive attorneys.
