FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies between garden care and design projects, but relates to your overall job size and desired scope of work. Please note that build estimates are $120, which is only billed to you in the event you choose NOT to move forward with the work. Starting at $1500, custom design packages are available to meet the diverse needs of our customers.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For new garden care customers, the typical process includes: 1) An initial site walkthrough where the customer can outline the desired work to be done. 2) Customers receive a cost estimate and contract for the agreed upon scope of maintenance. 3) We will schedule a good time to get started. For new design customers, there are a range of options available, however the typical process includes: 1) An initial site walkthrough where the customer outlines the desired work to be done. 2) Customers receive a cost estimate and contract for the agreed upon scope of design. 3) I will take site measurements (some larger projects may require a property survey) and photos for reference throughout the design process. 3) We will review 2 initial hand drawn concepts and collaborate together on the final concept. 4) Review a refined, to scale, CAD plan based on the agreed upon concept. Here we will get into the nitty gritty details of your desired landscape materials (stone, boulders, wood, metal, etc.) and talk about plants (trees, shrubs, perennials, fruit and veggies, ground cover and/or grasses). 5) The final product includes at minimum an illustrated landscape plan that can be used as a road map to creating your dream yard. It is meant to be fully comprehensive for either the homeowner or a landscape contractor to build out. Both digital and a print copy will be provided. Other design options can include: - Layout plans explaining in further detail the locations of specific materials, structures or features, hardscape, and softscape, with their respective square footages. - Planting plans calling out specific plant species/cultivars and their placement - Sprinkler zone diagram calling out the locations of overhead and drip irrigation Additional follow up can include: - Construction oversight for customers working with a landscape contractor for installation - Direct consultation, guidance, and tips for the DIY homeowner - Maintenance
