FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am very flexible on pricing, because often without a ton of analysis, review and pre-work, its hard to nail down a fair price. This is why many bids are often surprisingly high. I set a "common" and fair price, then discuss things that may occur and drive a cost up or down. If a project is easier than expected, we will reduce the cost.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ensure that both the customer and myself are very clear about the work to be completed. I spend a bit of time discussing the task, expectations for quality, finish, longevity etc. I also like to ensure the customer understands any maintenance tasks that may be related or any other overhead that may coincide. After that, we'll work out the best time to perform the work and get to it!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Personal interest in understanding the work I used to pay professionals for (I've caught many doing subpar or incorrect work). After that, I started doing remodels in rentals I used to live in, then doing my own home work, friends and families.
