- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Repair Cost Minimum Charge: $450.00 - This is our minimum repair charge to have the crew come out to do the most minimal repair that may be necessary on a roof (Includes trip/travel, insurance, workman's comp, etc.). - These repairs include cleaning gutters/downspouts (Does NOT include sealing up ALL inside/outside corners, end caps, or outlets), sealing up flashings, pipe jacks, vents, skylights, exposed nail points, etc. Customers should be aware that our repair pricing depends on roof pitch, height, safety issues/consideration, and roofing material. We calculate the total labor/material charges and apply our company mark-up to obtain our final repair amount. We offer a 5% military OR senior discount on our repairs. Our $450.00 minimum is included in our total repair costs when providing a new repair estimate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When our office receives the lead via phone/internet, the customers information is passed to the Service and Repair Manager (Jon Vaughn), who then contacts the customer within 24-hours from the time the request was received. Upon contact with the customer, he obtains the necessary details regarding the call, leak issues, repair requests, etc. We then set an inspection appointment for a date/time that works for both us and the customer. Upon initial inspection, we diagnose the issue, seal/tarp any possible leak issues that could continue, and provide a repair estimate within 48 hours from time of inspection for any/all necessary repairs. Once we receive approval to move forward with the repairs, we upload the customer into our system and enter their work order into our repair schedule. The customer is notified the Friday prior to the day/week they are scheduled.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I became the Service and Repair Manager after years of working directly with crews doing roof replacements, teams doing roof repairs, companies removing/replacing gutters/downspouts, contractors removing/replacing windows, and working with siding and painting crews. I've been the Service and Repair Manager at Golden Spike Roofing going on 7 years now.
