FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard tuning: $100 Pitch raise: $20 extra Additional repairs will be priced as necessary.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Scheduling a tuning is simple - you just give me a day & time that works, and I'm there. Standard tunings normally take between 1½ - 2 hours, depending on just how un-tuned your instrument is & the kind of care it has received over its life. For REALLY out-of-tune pianos, a longer and more intensive procedure called a "pitch raise" maybe necessary, which is just slightly extra. Our first appointment will include the tuning, dusting and repair assessment of your piano (if any repairs are needed), and it's always recommended that you tune your piano once a year to keep it in the best shape.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been (and am currently) a student of the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology, the highest rated & most attended school in this country of its kind. I have been tuning pianos all around the state of Colorado for over six years, and am also an associate member of the Piano Technicians Guild.
