I train people not dogs. It's mostly understanding how a dog thinks and what triggers their behavior. Like any relationship, once there is good communication most situations can be fixed. I love dogs, and i always want to see dogs and owners have that special bond.

Eric is an amazing trainer! My husband and I could not agree on how to train our very energetic lab. Our first 90 minutes of training proved to us that we we had made the best choice in Eric. We were blown away. He helped us understand our dog and how she works so we could both be on the same page. We were amazed at the changes in such a short time. Our follow ups have built on that first experience. We are able to work with our dog - even in high distraction areas - and it doesn't feel like a chore any more! We only wish we had discovered him BEFORE we paid for the "usual" pet store training, books, and a variety of collars and tools that didn't work.

Eric is awesome-- very friendly, patient and accommodating with our family's needs and schedule for training. I promise he's like some super, guru, dog whisperer... I could not have survived the puppy phase without him. Highly recommend.

Eric is a GREAT trainer, he's very understanding, and caring, genuinely, to BOTH, your pet and you. He is down to earth, good sense of humor. He has been with us, 2 times so far, and honestly, he TOTALLY taught our boxer so much, ( US AS WELL) in the first session.. We do our homework/ practice with our Hennessey, and she is doing AMAZING!! I will keep him around for as long as possible, and recommend him...to EVERYONE!! 110%.. The Andersons

To date we have only had three sessions with Eric. However, our puppy has made some great gains and we are learning a lot. I would have to say Eric is having to train us more than our puppy as she is a much faster learner. We look forward to the training sessions to come and how we and our puppy will continue to grow together!!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend some time getting to know them and their dog. Once I understand their relationship then I can explain how we will train. It's important for the owner to feel comfortable with not only me but the training process. I want them to understand that they have to put in the work but the rewards are for a lifetime.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring a dog trainer I feel it's important that the trainer's style match the beliefs of the owner. There are many types of effective dog training and one is not better than the other, just a better fit in my opinion. Its good for the owner to ask a lot of questions?
