- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We talk on the phone first to get a feel for your goals and biggest concerns and learn about each other. Depending on the project, we meet at your house to visual exactly what the project(s) is -space, amount of things, available storage options- and what steps we could take. Then schedule a budget limit and time to get working.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Conflict resolution training and problem solving. This training give me listening skills and desire to help you work with your needs and concerns and ways of being rather than setting up systems that don't match you.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started by helping a very overwhelmed friend slowly tidy and empty a huge storage unit after her mother passed. The unit was FULL, couldn't even get into it. I stated by tidying and reorganizing so things were on shelves and we could get into the unit. Sometimes we'd just go through and pull out the stuff that most obviously should be donated, trashed of sold, then re-tidied and left.
