- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1. Labor Only: $90/hour. 2. Truck & Labor: $145/hour, plus $1.75/mile (warehouse to warehouse). This option requires a 2-hour minimum deposit. 3. Packing: Any boxing materials used will be charged on a case by case. If you refer us, we would like to give a portion of our proceeds to a charity of your choice. We are open to discounts. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial Contact Inquiry Response: Respond promptly to the customer's inquiry, providing a warm and professional greeting. Ask for details about their moving needs, such as the move date, origin and destination addresses, size of the move (e.g., number of bedrooms), and any special items or requirements. Assessment and Quotation Assessment: Offer to conduct a virtual or in-person walkthrough of the current home to assess the volume of items and any potential challenges. Quotation: Provide a detailed and transparent quote based on the assessment, including all potential costs (labor, packing materials, transportation, etc.). Explain the breakdown of the costs to make sure the customer understands what they're paying for? Scheduling: Once the customer accepts the quote, work with them to schedule the move at a convenient time. Confirm all details in writing and provide a checklist to help them prepare for moving day. Preparation: Offer packing services if needed, or provide tips and resources for self-packing. Ensure all necessary supplies are ready for moving day. Moving Day Execution: Arrive on time with a professional team and all necessary equipment. Handle the customer's belongings with care, following any specific instructions they have provided. Communication: Maintain open communication throughout the move, providing updates and addressing any concerns immediately. Post-Move Completion and Follow-Up: Once the move is complete, walk through the new home with the customer to ensure everything is in place and to their satisfaction. Address any final concerns or questions. Feedback: Request feedback and reviews to improve services and build credibility on Thumbtack. Customer Support Support: Provide ongoing support for any post-move issues or additional services the customer might need.

I have a bachelor's degree in business, which has provided me with a strong foundation in management, logistics, and customer service. With over 8 years of hands-on experience in the moving industry, I've had the opportunity to work with both the best and the worst in the business. This experience has taught me valuable lessons and helped me refine my skills.
