Hello! I'm Paul with High Peak Education. I am passionate about your success in school, and learning as a way of life. I have tutored university, college, and high school students for 15 years with great success. In addition, I served for 7 years as an Adjunct Professor at Front Range Community College in Mathematics, Physics, and Meteorology. As part of The University of Colorado, I fulfilled the role of Teaching Assistant for physics, Energy & the Environment, Atmospheric Science, and Atmospheric Science Laboratory. I have also tutored collegiate student athletes. I can help you any math from basic math, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, or even business math or applied math. I have taught and tutored students in numerous courses from multiple textbooks, instructors, and software platforms. I can help students know how to approach a math problem. I can assist you with any high school or college level physics course! AP Physics, conceptual, algebra-based, and calculus-based all apply. I have assisted many students to understand science concepts, calculations, display of data, computer programming, scientific writing, and scientific reports. I can help you in Statistics, no matter what level you are taking. I am highly experienced and skilled at anything Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Weather, Climate Change, etc. I am proficient at MATLAB and can help you with this computing language. I enjoyed working with Mr. Quelet as he helped me understand the complex problems I had. His wide knowledge of physics and math allowed me to work with him on multiple subjects. I like how thorough his explanations are as it allowed me to really understand how a certain concept is being used. Setting up sessions with him was always easy and I will definitely ask him for help when I come across another hard STEM class!

Paul was amazing. He genuinely cared about my daughters progress and kept me updated on the plan for each week. I started working with Paul after withdrawing from college-level statistics for the second time. Prior to this class, it had been 20 years since I had taken a math class. I was severely unprepared and despite my best efforts, could not make it through this class on my own. Paul did a great job of supplementing my learning. Each week we focused on what I was learning in class, and with lots of practice, coaching, and encouragement, Paul helped fill in the gaps in my knowledge to help me get through the course. With Paul’s help I was able to pass my class with an 86 average. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Can not say enough kind things about Paul! He helped my husband bring his math grade up from a C- to a B+ in just a couple sessions. Not only does he KNOW what he is talking about, but he teaches it so well in a way that you actually absorb it. In addition to that he is very flexible and accommodating regarding schedule. My husband is in school for programming and after completing his math class, Paul is now also helping him with his Python course. We are so grateful to have found him, worth every cent!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is negotiable depending upon the situation. Discounts come about if you are 1) closer to my home office, 2) tutor virtually instead of in-person, 3) tutor with more than one student, 4) book multiple tutoring sessions in a package
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I take 1 to 2 sessions to ask diagnostic questions to assess your level of understanding. I then estimate the effort and cost to get you to the level of understanding you want to acheive.
