I’m SO glad I dodged this red flag! I reached out to four businesses for quotes late Sunday night, fully expecting to follow up after my busy workday on Monday—I don’t get home until 6 PM and I let unknown numbers go to voicemail. First thing Tuesday morning, I woke up to the most aggressive, hostile text message I’ve ever received from any type of business. There was no introduction or professionalism—just pure anger. The sender complained that they paid $200 for my contact information and insisted the least I could do was let them give me a bid for painting. 🤯 As a customer simply seeking quotes, I had no idea contractors pay $200 per lead! I would have been happy to consider a quote, but this painter didn’t even give me the chance or time to respond initially. He could have handled the situation like many other professionals—by politely asking for the opportunity to earn my business. Instead, he chose to text me aggressively, and I’m so glad he never got that opportunity. When I tried to respond, they went back and forth with me so much that I eventually had to block them. Their behavior left a terrible impression, and frankly, I’m just relieved I didn’t move forward with someone so unprofessional. If you’re looking for a painter, steer clear—this kind of attitude isn’t worth your time or energy.

When he came to do the job, they started out strong - but a month later, and after I paid him in full, he's stopped coming. He quoted me hourly rates, and by the end of the job his pricing changed. I have had to have my plumber come back, which cost me more money, and I've had to hire someone to finish his work. Whatever you do, don't pay him in full, until the job is done. Super disappointed.

when I reached out to get a time check on our estimate meeting, the business was rude and told me I never sent an address or pick a time when I quite literally have in the message thread the time confirmed from both parties and my address provided. good luck with communication if you decide to work with them
