Introduction
Thank you for checking out my profile. My other profile appears under dog training and behavior as I am a Certified Behavioral Consultant and also a Certified Dog trainer. I enjoy behavioral modification and behavioral consulting on various issues from training-taming parrots to problem behavior with cats and also dogs (training and behavioral modification)
I use all positive reinforcement techniques because research has proven that fear free and force free works best. ! We change a pet's Conditioned Emotional Response and the behavior changes; and behavior changes as we change the Conditioned Emotional Response.
I work with all types of behavioral challenges: aggressive behaviors in dogs, inter familial dogs and dog-human, dog to dog reactivity, anxiety and fear or trauma in dogs, aggression and fears or anxiety in cats, Parrot behavioral issues and training.
I'm also a certified trainer who trains dogs from puppy class to advanced and I work training Service -Assistance dogs and Therapy Dogs
My methods work because they are based in sound science of behavior.

Carrie Abrams truly helped me with my two very rowdy and difficult dogs. It is helpful for me to first explain my situation so to better understand why I am so grateful to Carrie for her help.
When I turned 28, I went out and adopted a dachshund (because I adore those dogs), when I got him home, I realized he needed a friend during the day when I was st work. I adopted a second dachshund. At first everything was great but then my first dog Oscar started having separation anxiety and some major issues with growling at my second dog Kaiser.
These two got so bad, because Kaiser fed off of Oscar. I called trainer after trainer and was told very basic advice. I do ally decided to try my hand at a behaviorist. The best decision that I have ever made. Carrie consulted with me and learned about my dogs and then the next Monday we had our first session. She explained to me the behavioral protocols, homework and tests that she planned for me and my dogs. It helped so much. After the 5th week of our training, I was noticing much better listening skills and behavior from the techniques that Carrie taught me to apply. This was so wonderful for me as a teacher. I really appreciate all your help Carrie and I look forward to working with you in the future, if I ever get another addition to my family!!

We absolutely loved Carol & our fur babies do as well. She’s great with answering questions & showing the technique’s over again without getting upset. I’m excited to continue to be able to learn things from her!
