FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $100 an hour including an hour of set up time. I typically arrive 1-2 hours ahead of the event to ensure that we're ready to go on time. I may quote a higher price for larger events that would benefit from additional sound (e.g. extra speakers and a subwoofer) or if you're interested in a vinyl-only DJ set. Let's talk. Discounts may be available for qualified 501c3 and 501c4 nonprofits.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to speak with my customers about the kind of experience they envision for their attendees and select music and a sound system that helps create that kind of space. That might be music for a celebratory dance party, for drinks and light conversation, or even the soundtrack to a yoga class. It all depends on the mood you want to create.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been working as a paid DJ since January of 1998, playing everywhere from weddings, fundraisers, and sporting events to house parties, bars, clubs, and raves.
