- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start off with an assessment of the property, we do this by meeting with client and walking the property. During this walk we ask a number of quick questions that help us and our officers come up with a plan of action for creating a safer environment. After the meeting we obtain crime stats for the general area and meet with local law enforcement to develop a more inclusive plan that aids local public safety and maintains the clients best interests of safety. When all this is done we create a plan of action and train all of officers that will be assigned that post accordingly.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All officers go through a 380 hrs training academy that covers topics like: basic laws of security enforcement, report writing, court testifying, verbal judo, emergencies response and management, use of force training such as; koga arrest control, koga defense tactics, taser, descalation of force, diminished capacity persons contact, and sensitivity training. 60 of those hours are spent on fire arms training by a nationally certified NRA Law Enforcement instructor. In addition to the 380 hrs academy the officers also receive 40 hrs of on the job training with a field training officer (FTO) before being released to work on their own.
