- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We don't charge by the hour. That means no surprises and no extra fees. We do what we have to do to deliver your home clean and spotless no matter how long it takes. About your estimate. Let me try to explain how it works! The Thumbtack doesn’t allow you to put all information, and sometimes you can get the wrong estimate. For example, your home has one bedroom, one bathroom, one living room, one kitchen, and then we will charge you for one bedroom, one bathroom, and 1 living room because we consider one kitchen as a part of your house. Another example: your home has one bedroom, one bathroom, one living room, one kitchen, another living room, one office, one basement, one loft. In this last example, you will add as a bedroom each room you have more than you put on Thumbtack to get an estimate. In this previous example, you have five rooms plus the first estimate, and then you will be charged as a bedroom for each of them to get a correct estimate. Also, we reserve the right to change the price if there is something new or any extra difficulty. To be clear, this does not include post-construction cleaning, for example, removal of paint, glue, drywall, etc... if you want some of these services, let us know in advance because your estimate will also be different. We also offer organization services, and this is not included in your cleaning estimate. We usually organize some things while we clean, but this will not be a complete organization. If you need this service, please let us know before starting work. I say that because sometimes this happens, and I need to be transparent with our customers; we charge it correctly because we will do the whole job, and it takes a long time to do! - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do not need to schedule a visit for the space being serviced to offer a quote. There is always a supervisor at the first visit to ensure our customer's needs and wishes are fulfilled to the best of our abilities.
