- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically charge $40 per hour or $25 per half hour. I do give a sibling discount for families that hire me for a two hour session.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In the first meeting I do a short assessment to determine which skills your student has mastered and where the gaps in understanding are. The assessment is quick, so after identifying the specific skills we need to build on, we jump right in and get started building those skills. At the end of the first session, I go over the assessment results and we set goals together.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began working as a tutor in high school when friends of my family hired me to help their children with homework. I love tutoring so I've made a career out of helping students learn.
