- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It depends on the type of case. We handle criminal cases on flat fees, and personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee. A flat fee is a set rate, regardless of the amount of hours spent on the work. A contingency fee agreement is the standard "we don't get paid unless you get paid" type of contract. The average rate in the Denver area is around 33% percent, but we tend to charge less than that rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We always want to have an initial consultation we new clients. A consultation is typically in person, and it feels a lot like an interview. The purpose of the consultation is for Mr. Lawrence to obtain as much information from a potential client as possible and detail possible options for how to proceed. An initial consultation lasts anywhere from 30 minutes to a hour. All initial consultations are free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mr. Lawrence attended law school at the University of Arkansas, and he was licensed in Colorado in 2010. After obtain his license, he worked at few firms focusing on personal injury litigation and criminal defense. He has litigated several cases through jury trial.
