I am a retired high school Spanish Teacher of 25 years, as well as Assistant Principal of Curriculum from Las Virgenes Unified School District. I have taught 6th graders up through high school levels Spanish 1 - AP. I have been a master teacher for Spanish student teachers. I am patient, creative, fun, and can teach all concepts from the basics. I have created a library with a wealth of materials for students to use to practice with. I have also worked with students on many Spanish class projects that include debates, dialogues, and essays. Currently I have several students that are taking Spanish online and I am their teacher for the course.
I enjoy working with students to improve their Spanish speaking, writing, reading and comprehension skills. I also work with students on their organizational and study skills. Both are important elements to be a strong students. For me it is so exciting to see the light go on for students when they understand a difficult concept, or even answer a challenging question in a complete sentence. I have a passion for Spanish and it is exciting to share that with students of all ages.
