We provide excellent customer service, possibly immediate or same day for homework help or project completion. Online tutoring is also available with a shared online whiteboard for step-by-step problem solving. We strive to get to the root of the problem be it a test-taking challenge or a problem with foundational concepts. Not very fond of your teacher? Unfortunately, this is often the case. We follow your own pace of learning to achieve results. We love the moment when a student finally understands a topic and starts building self-confidence. We can then use this to change the way a student thinks about a subject resulting in continual improvement and achievement. ABOUT ME: I'm a graduate of UCLA Engineering with a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 15 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and computer skills. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven very effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success! EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING: Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subjects can be attributed to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up with the pace and workload that advanced courses demand or haven't figured out the best way to study for themselves. We are able to assess a student's shortcomings and formulate a plan for higher achievement. Daniel and his tutors are true pros that know their subjects inside and out. Daniel has always responded to my texts and emails quickly and clearly. I've referred him to several friends, especially for his expertise with higher level math, such as high school and college calculus, and AP computer science. My friend's son was drowning in his USC calculus class which he needed to pass to graduate. Thanks to Daniel's team, he finally passed that course that he had previously failed and dropped. I think his calm and focused approach is helpful for students who are struggling with tough technical subjects. Definitely go with Daniel if you want your kids to really learn those challenging subjects with an experienced guide!

I decided not to take lessons due to my budget but pricing was consistent with others on the west coast. I personally appreciated the quick responses as I needed to make a decision for a gift. I hope it works out for us going with someone less expensive and with less experience. Based on my research, this was an obvious choice but I couldn’t afford it.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The price quoted is a bundle rate. This means an agreed upon number of hours is paid for upfront and hours are used up as lessons are provided. You need not pay this before the first lesson. Typically, customers like to try out the first lesson and decide from then if the bundle is right for them. The pay-as-you-go rate is higher than the bundle rate and depends on the details of the customer request. • Minimum lesson time is 1 hour for online lessons and may be longer for in person lessons. • A higher rate may be requested for commuting expenses. • Customers who reach out first automatically see my base rate which may not apply to the subject/service in need. • I accept PayPal, Venmo, Check, Cash, or Credit Card (3% fee) • Cancellation Policy: At least 24 hours notice or charged for full lesson. • Purchases for bundle(s) or pay-as-you-go tutoring are non-refundable.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I seek to understand the student's goals and level of understanding in a subject. Together, we can schedule lessons to achieve those goals in line with the student's timeline. Preparation of student’s material is needed before lessons if topic mastery is not yet met.
