Dan was terrific- the perfect addition to our backyard retirement party. He was kind, professional and took initiative to go above and beyond what he was asked to do. Dan made the party feel like an elevated experience, and wow was he helpful - as the host, I actually got to enjoy myself! I appreciate his service and would definitely hire him again. I was impressed with Dan from the moment I found him on Thumbtack (he had wonderful reviews). He responded within the hour and I learned that it was typical for him to promptly respond, whether by text, phone or email. Throughout, he was very professional as well as kind. I could tell I was in good hands. I am a spreadsheet person, so I was favorably impressed when he requested a timeline for the party. He wanted to be sure he knew what our needs and expectations were so he would not distract me from enjoying my own party. He was extremely flexible as plans were modified (we needed to add a fourth server and he was prepared to do that). He checked in as needed in advance of the party, including calling me on Monday the week before to go over the details and timeliness. He even asked how I wanted the staff to dress; and they arrived professionally attired. Dan and his staff arrived well before (at least 45-60 minutes) the start time (he said at no additional charge, but I was, of course, willing to and did compensate his team for that time). On that note, I thought his price was very fair. Throughout the evening Dan, who was skillfully tending bar, made sure his team was doing what was needed and he even made sure I had a beverage/cocktail (which was especially helpful as I kept losing my drink as I socialized with my guests). With one exception, I made all the dishes (hors d'ouevres - some to be butlered, salads, corn muffins, honey butter, and several desserts) for my milestone birthday party of 60+ guests. I would say my only disappointments were that with some items I did not provide clear enough instructions. (For example I wanted all of the praline nuts I made added to the salads, and the staff only added part of the containers. There were a couple of items like that; nothing serious, though. This was my fault; next time I’ll know to be more explicit about such elements.) Dan did a great job staffing the buffet table, serving the main dish, while ensuring the side dishes, salads, etc. were where they needed to be. The main course items were timely cleared and the desserts were all promptly placed on the buffet tables. Dan and his team were thorough in their cleanup, not departing until everything was done. My guests also appreciated the outstanding job Dan and his team did in serving and meeting all our needs for this special party. And it didn’t hurt that Dan is a nice guy! Reached out to Dan for a birthday party. He replied right away and the booking process was so easy. He arrived over an hour before his booking time to set up. When guests arrived he prepared a welcome shot - great surprise! Dan was everyone's favorite part of the day...and the margs were 10/10. Would recommend and request him again!

Dan is utterly fantastic in so many ways. I had my sons birthday at my house. He turned six. And to say I was flustered was an understatement. All his new friends from kindergarten and new parents were coming and he literally changed the game. He knew what I needed before I needed it. He arrived 30 minutes early, helping with set up an food prep. He stayed over 30 min late to clean up the entire dining area, keeping food that was still good, and storing it in my fridge all while I chatted it up with guests. Also his price is incredibly generous and obviously he should be tipped incredibly well. He came dressed very professionally, with a serving tray and all. I am so so thankful for him. He is all the key words. They only let me choose three. But definitely great value and punctuality out of the park as well. 10/5 stars for Dan. I will be hoping to snag him for every single party I have in the future. Not to mention every single one of my friends wanted his card haha. Hire Dan, you’re not going to regret it. Thank you again Dan and I’m so sorry I didn’t hear you ask me but realized once I watched the video!! I was tuned into what my son was doing at that moment haha sorry!!
